Welding is one of the key skills in engineering industries, such as building construction, automotive, and manufacturing. The quality of welds greatly determines the durability of a structure, so an understanding and skills in conducting weld quality testing, particularly through tensile and bending tests, are required. This Community Service Program aims to improve teachers' understanding of the basic principles of tensile and bending tests in welding, provide practical skills in conducting weld quality testing, assist teachers in developing practice-based teaching materials that are more applicable to students, and increase the competitiveness of Kulon Progo Vocational School graduates in the industrial world. This training was conducted for vocational school teachers who teach welding. The training consisted of several stages, namely Preparation, Implementation, Evaluation, and Reporting. The approach used included discussions, simulations, and hands-on training (on-the-job training) to ensure that the solutions were easier for participants to understand and apply. The results of the activity show that the tensile and bending test training for vocational school teachers in Kulon Progo has successfully improved the participants' understanding and practical skills in testing the quality of welded joints, particularly the parameters of tensile strength, strain, fracture properties, and evaluation of bending results based on AWS standards.
