This study aims to: (1) analyze the market potential of the herbal cosmetic hampers made from daun suruhan (Peperomia pellucida), (2) identify innovation strategies for developing the herbal cosmetic hampers, and (3) determine the effectiveness of the product’s potential and innovation in increasing entrepreneurial interest. The research employs a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and descriptive quantitative methods.
The findings indicate that the market potential for herbal cosmetic hampers is highly promising, as the product offers a strong visual identity, uniqueness, creativity, and innovation compared to other hamper competitors. The innovation strategy includes selecting daun suruhan as the main herbal ingredient because it is easy to obtain and processed traditionally to maintain its natural quality using homemade manual tools. The packaging is designed to be minimalistic, easy to store, unique, and equipped with clear information. The marketing strategies involve direct selling, partnerships, digital marketing, and membership programs.
The effectiveness of the product’s potential and innovation in increasing entrepreneurial interest is supported by contributions from non-formal education, which accounts for 86,6%. Entrepreneurial interest is influenced more by the social environment (friends, relatives, social media, and others) than by family, at 53,3%. Students also demonstrate strong entrepreneurial motivation at 60%. The herbal cosmetic hampers made from daun suruhan show great business potential, as evidenced by 53,3% of respondents who strongly agree with the product’s market prospects.
