Types of Manuscripts
Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika dan Sains accepts three types of scholarly manuscripts: original research articles, literature review articles, and meta-analysis articles. Submissions must be relevant to mathematics and science education, including mathematics, chemistry, physics, science, and biology education.
-
Original Research Articles present original research findings based on empirical data using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches. These articles should demonstrate clear scientific contributions to the advancement of theories, practices, or innovations in mathematics and science education.
-
Literature Review Articles provide a critical and systematic examination of existing scholarly literature on a specific topic. These articles are expected to synthesize findings from previous studies, identify emerging patterns and research gaps, and formulate implications and directions for future research.
-
Meta-Analysis Articles present a quantitative synthesis of findings from previous studies using appropriate statistical methods. These articles should clearly describe the literature search and study selection strategies, inclusion and exclusion criteria, data coding procedures, and statistical analysis techniques used to calculate pooled effect sizes and, where relevant, identify potential moderators of research outcomes.
All submissions must demonstrate originality, a strong theoretical foundation, methodological rigor, and a significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge and practice in mathematics and science education. Manuscripts must represent original work that has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration by another journal.
