Authorship Criteria
Authorship of manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika dan Sains should be based on substantial scholarly contributions to the research and manuscript preparation. To qualify as an author, an individual must meet all of the following criteria:
-
Substantial Contribution: Make a significant contribution to the conception or design of the study; the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data; or the development of the research methodology.
-
Manuscript Preparation: Participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content.
-
Final Approval: Approve the final version of the manuscript to be submitted for publication.
-
Accountability: Agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work, ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the research are appropriately investigated and resolved.
All individuals who meet these criteria should be listed as authors. Individuals who have contributed to the work but do not meet all authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately in the Acknowledgments section, with their consent.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all listed authors meet the authorship criteria, that all authors have approved the final manuscript, and that the author order has been agreed upon by all authors before submission. Any changes to authorship, including the addition, removal, or rearrangement of authors, after submission must be justified and approved by all authors involved, subject to the journal's editorial approval.
JPMS does not consider honorary, gift, or guest authorship acceptable. Likewise, ghost authorship, in which individuals who have made qualifying contributions are omitted from the author list, is not permitted. All authors are expected to uphold the principles of research integrity, transparency, and ethical scholarly publishing.
