Allegations of Research Misconduct
Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika dan Sains takes all allegations of research misconduct seriously and is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. Research misconduct includes, but is not limited to, fabrication or falsification of data, plagiarism, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship practices, manipulation of research results, and violations of research ethics.
Anyone who identifies a potential case of research misconduct in a submitted or published manuscript may report their concerns to the editorial office, providing relevant information and supporting evidence where available.
Upon receiving an allegation, the editorial team will conduct an initial assessment of the available evidence and may request an explanation from the authors concerned. All allegations will be handled fairly, objectively, and confidentially, with due consideration given to the rights of all parties involved. An allegation will not be treated as proof of misconduct without appropriate assessment.
Where necessary, JPMS will contact the authors' affiliated institutions or other relevant authorities and cooperate with their investigations. The journal will follow applicable publication ethics guidelines, including those of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), when determining appropriate actions.
Depending on the findings, editorial actions may include rejection of a manuscript, publication of a correction, issuance of an expression of concern, or retraction of a published article. The journal will take appropriate measures to protect the reliability and integrity of the scholarly record while ensuring that all cases are handled responsibly and transparently.
