Pengaruh Pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis dan Motivasi Belajar Peserta Didik

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pre-test post-test control group. Populasi terdiri dari 217 peserta didik kelas X di salah satu SMA Negeri di Padangsidimpuan. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel terdiri dari 60 peserta didik, 30 peserta didik sebagai kelompok eksperimen menerima pembelajaran dengan PMRI dan 30 peserta didik sebagai kelompok kontrol menerima pembelajaran dengan pendekatan pembelajaran langsung. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan motivasi belajar sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan PMRI berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan motivasi belajar secara simultan; PMRI lebih efektif daripada pendekatan pembelajaran langsung dari segi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan motivasi belajar peserta didik.
