Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita tentang Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV) dan scaffolding-nya berdasarkan tahapan analisis kesalahan Newman. Data diperoleh dari hasil tes, wawancara, dan proses pemberian scaffolding. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, bentuk-bentuk kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa adalah kesalahan pada tahap comprehension, transformation, process skill, dan encoding. Sedangkan bentuk scaffolding yang dilakukan adalah explaining, reviewing, restructuring, dan developing conceptual thinking.
