Open Access Policy
Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan (JuMP) provides open access to its published research, enabling readers to engage with scholarship in educational administration, management, and leadership. Open access helps connect research with the work of school leaders, teachers, education administrators, policymakers, and researchers.
The journal supports the dissemination of knowledge that can inform institutional improvement, educational quality, and evidence-informed decision-making.

1. Open Access Principles
The Budapest Open Access Initiative provides a foundation for making scholarly literature available online and removing barriers to access and reuse. JuMP supports public access to educational management research through its journal website.
Readers may access published articles and use them in accordance with the applicable article licence. This includes reading, downloading, printing, linking to, and sharing licensed material, with appropriate acknowledgement of its source.
2. Licence and Reuse
Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)
The journal website identifies CC BY 4.0 as its open access licence. Where this licence applies, users may share and adapt the material for any purpose, including commercial use, provided that they:
- Give appropriate credit to the author and original publication.
- Provide a link to the licence and identify any changes.
- Avoid implying that the author or journal endorses the reuse.
- Do not impose legal or technical restrictions that prevent others from exercising the rights granted by the licence.
The licence attached to the individual article governs its reuse. Third-party images, tables, or other material may have separate terms; users should check credit lines and obtain additional permission where necessary.
3. Copyright
Under the journal’s current Copyright Notice, copyright in articles accepted for publication is assigned to JuMP, which retains publishing rights.
Authors may use their published articles for lawful purposes under the terms stated in that notice, acknowledging their initial publication in JuMP. Open licensing and copyright ownership are distinct: users must follow the applicable licence even when copyright is held by the journal.
4. Access and Publication Fees
Open access concerns readers’ access to research. Author publication charges are separate and are described on the Author Fees page.
Authors should consult that page for publication charges, optional services, additional fees, and waiver provisions. Payment arrangements do not alter the reuse rights granted by an article’s Creative Commons licence.
5. Self-Archiving and Sharing
Authors are encouraged to share the article’s official landing-page link or DOI. Where the published version carries CC BY 4.0, that version may also be redistributed or deposited in a repository in accordance with the licence, preserving attribution and licence information.
For preprints and accepted manuscripts, authors should check any applicable publication agreement or seek clarification from the editorial office. This policy does not establish blanket permission for every manuscript version.
Repository records should identify the deposited version and include the original publication details and DOI, where available.
6. Discoverability and Responsible Use
Readers can locate published research through the journal’s Archives and article landing pages. Persistent article links and DOIs support citation and discovery.
Reuse in teaching resources, research syntheses, educational policy documents, and digital tools should preserve the connection to the original publication. Text and data reuse must comply with the applicable licence and any separately identified third-party rights.
7. How to Cite and Reuse
Use the journal’s required reference style when citing research. For reuse, also provide the licence and disclose modifications. The template below illustrates attribution rather than a mandatory reference style.

Use the exact licence stated on the article. Clearly label translations, excerpts, and adaptations, and avoid presenting modified material as the original published work.
