Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan (JuMP) published its first printed edition in 2005. This marked the beginning of the journal's role as an academic publication platform for research and scholarly work in educational management and school leadership.

In 2019, JuMP began its online publication, expanding access to scholarly articles and supporting wider dissemination of research in educational management and leadership.

In 2021, JuMP entered the accreditation period associated with SINTA 4 (Fourth Grade) national journal accreditation.

The accreditation was formalized under Decree Number 177/E/KPT/2024, covering the period 2021-2026.

In 2022, JuMP established a collaboration with the Association of Educational Management and Administration Study Programs (APMAPI), Indonesia.

This collaboration supports academic networking and the development of scholarly publications in educational management and administration.

In 2026, JuMP undertook preparations for journal re-accreditation as part of its ongoing commitment to improving editorial management, publication quality, and compliance with national journal accreditation standards.

The journal is currently undergoing the re-accreditation process. The outcome will be updated following the official accreditation decision.

Today, Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan continues to publish scholarly research on school management and educational leadership.

The journal is published twice a year, in April and October, by the Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
