Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections

Widyakara Journal welcomes scholarly discussion of its published articles. This policy explains how readers can comment on or raise concerns about an article and how the journal responds.

1. Forms of Discussion

  • Letters to the editor: short, evidence-based comments on a published article (up to 1,000 words), published with the authors' reply where possible.
  • Comments by email: questions about methods, data, or interpretation, which the editor may pass to the authors.
  • Integrity concerns: reports of possible errors, plagiarism, data problems, or misconduct.

2. Requirements

Comments concern the scholarly content, are respectful, give evidence, and name the article by title and DOI. The writer gives a name and affiliation; anonymous comments are considered only when they raise integrity concerns with clear evidence.

3. Procedure

  1. Send the comment to journal_widyakara@uny.ac.id with the subject "Post-publication comment".
  2. The editor acknowledges receipt within 7 days.
  3. Letters suitable for publication go to the authors, who may reply within 30 days; both are published together and linked to the article.
  4. Errors or possible misconduct are handled under Correction and Retraction or Research Misconduct.
  5. The person who raised the comment is told the outcome.
