Archiving Policy

Archiving Policy  ·  Jurnal Penelitian Humaniora
Kept safe, and kept accessible.
How Jurnal Penelitian Humaniora preserves its published content.
01
Digital preservation
PKP Preservation Network Each published issue is deposited in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) and stored in several locations. If the journal stops publishing or its website becomes permanently unavailable, the archived content is released and stays openly accessible.
LOCKSS The journal takes part in LOCKSS, in which libraries keep permanent copies for preservation and restoration. See the LOCKSS Publisher Manifest.
University server Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta hosts and backs up the OJS server, which holds the metadata and full texts.
02
Persistent identifiers
Articles, corrections, retractions, and published comments receive Crossref DOIs (prefix 10.21831). If the web address changes, the DOIs are updated so that citations keep working.
03
Other copies and access points
Metadata and full texts are also available through Garuda, Google Scholar, and Crossref. See Journal Indexing.
04
Backup and continuity
—  The IT services of the university back up the OJS database and article files regularly, with copies on separate storage.
—  The journal keeps the final published files of every issue.
—  If the journal stops publishing, changes publisher, or changes platform, the publisher aims to keep the content freely accessible at a stable location, update the DOIs, and inform the preservation services.
—  Articles are not removed from the archive, except in the legal cases described in Correction and Retraction. Even then, the metadata and a notice remain. Retracted articles stay in the archive, marked RETRACTED.
05
Self-archiving by authors
Authors may deposit their articles in repositories, with no embargo. See Self-Archiving and Repository.
