Abstract

Abstrak

Gumuk Pasir di Pantai Parangtritis merupakan bentuklahan oleh angin (eolian) yang dipengaruhi oleh pemasokan pasir, kecepatan angin, dan kerapatan vegetasi. Keberadaan gumuk pasir itu mampu menjadi barrier gelombang pasang atau tsunami (isu: air dan nami: pelabuhan).

Mengingat pentingnya keberadaan gumuk pasir maka diperlukan usaha-usaha untuk pelestariannya yaitu pengolahan secara baik lahan gumuk pasir pantai, penertiban bangunan yang tidak sesuai azas sekitar muara Opak-Oyo dan di gumuk pasir pantai. Langkah-langkah yang perlu diambil adalah sosialisasi kelestarian lingkungan hidup terhadap masyarakat sekitar gumuk pasir pantai, gerakan rehabilitasi lahan, dan penertiban terhadap pelaku wisata dan masyarakat yang melanggar PERDA  lingkungan hidup.
