Author Guidelines

General Guideline

The author should submit manuscript in format to the journal of Jurnal Ilmu Manajemen . All manuscripts must be prepared referring to below guidelines : 

  1. Starting from the issue of Volume 20, Number 1, Year 2023all articles published in this Journal must be in English.
  2. Download manuscript templates HERE
  3. The manuscripts have never been published in any journal.
  4. Manuscripts are the work of individual or group research (empirical, unempirical/systematic literature review, or conceptual development).
  5. The text similarity index is not more than 20% (Excluding quotes and bibliographic).
  6. The editor own the right to revise the sentences without changing the meaning (summarizing, pharaphrasing, and synthesizing).
  7. The article should be between 10 and 15 pages and typed in format page 21 cm x 29.7 cm, Times New Roman 12, and single space.
  8. Follow the submission online procedure.
  9. Using APA (American Psychological Association) for reference style.
  10. The Article must be written in Microsoft Word.
  11. The manuscript should be submitted by online submission in HERE 


Language

  • The manuscript must be written in good academic English. Spelling follows Webster’s International Dictionary. 
  • To ensure an anonymous review, the authors should not identify themselves directly or indirectly in their papers. 
  • A single author should not use the word “we”. 
  • Authors for whom English is not their native language are encouraged to have their papers checked before submission for grammar and clarity. 
  • We use Grammarly to helps us eliminate language errors.

Article Length

  • The article should be between 4000 and 7000 words. 
  • The allowable length of the manuscript is at the editor’s discretion.
  • However, manuscripts with a length of less than or exceeding the specified word count may be returned to the author(s) for revision before the manuscript is considered by the editors. 
  • The word count excludes tables, figures, and references.

Title

  • Title is written English.
  • Title is written in uppercase letters centered in the upper half of the page.
  • The title must mention the results of the study.
  • There must be no subheading and title may take up one or two lines.
  • The title is written in Times New Roman 14, Bold, justified.
  • Approximately not more 20 words

Name of author and institution of author

  • The author’s name is completely written without academic title or indication of position and stratification.
  • The author can be an individual or a team. All the author should be list.
  • Write author(s)’s institutional affiliation
  • E-mail written only e-mail correspondence.

Abstract

  • Abstract is written in English depending on the article contents language.
  • Abstract must be written between 150 – 300 words
  • Abstract must be written in one paragraph only encompassing background, purpose of the study, methods, results, discussion and conclusion.

Keyword

  • Keyword must be written in English.
  • Write words or terms that reflect the concept within the articles.
  • It may consist of several words/term.
  • Keywords are written under the abstract with a distance of one line and are italicized.

Introduction

  • Introduction consists of background, purpose of the study, and research urgency.
  • Statement of the problem and/ or hypothesis must not be written in the form of subheading but research question which is integrated in paragraph, part of the introduction.

Methods

  • Practical methods.
  • It consists of research type/approach, location, population and sample, sampling drawing techniques, data collection techniques, and data analysis techniques.

Results and Discussions

  • All tables, graphics, and figures are thoroughly discussed, placed in the center, and appropriate interpretation are highly desirable (description is not repetitive from tables, graphics, and figures).
  • Tables use three horizontal lines, size of table and illustrations should be adjusted to the size of the paper.
  • Tables and graphics are made in the format of MS Word/Excel.
  • Every table consists of table number and table title written above the table.

Conclusion

  • Conclusion does not repeat what has been discussed in results section.

Limitation

  • Not only do authors write down the major flaws and limitations of their study, which can reduce the validity of the writing, thus raising questions from the readers (whether, or in what way), the limits in his studies may have affected the results and conclusions. 
  • Limitations require critical judgment and interpretation of the impact of their research. 
  • The author should provide the answer to the question: Is this a problem caused by an error, or in the method selected, or the validity, or otherwise?

References

  • References written must be cited in writing.
  • Book citation is at least from last 10-year publication, whereas, for journals, it is at least from last 5-year publication.
  • Using APA style.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Articles have not been previously published in other journals.
  2. The article manuscript file must be in the Microsoft Word document format according to the template.
  3. Writing references and bibliography using reference management software such as Mendeley, EndNote, etc.
  4. The format for writing the article manuscript is in accordance with the template
