Journal History

Jurnal Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan was formerly named Jurnal Penelitian dan Evaluasi published by Program Pascasarjana Institut Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Yogyakarta (recently known as the Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta). Its first issue was published in 1998 with ISSN 1410-4725 (printed).

In 2004, the publisher collaborates with Himpunan Evaluasi Pendidikan Indonesia (HEPI) – Indonesian Association of Educational Evaluation in publishing the journal and changed its title to JURNAL PENELITIAN DAN EVALUASI PENDIDIKAN.

Jurnal Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan was firstly accredited by the Department of National Education of Republic of Indonesia in 2007, valid for 3 years. Further, Jurnal Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan was re-accredited in 2010 by the Ministry of National Education of Republic of Indonesia. After the accreditation period ended (after 3 years), the journal re-attained accreditation in 2014 from the Ministry of Education and Culture. Therefore, Jurnal Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan successfully achieved accreditation in three periods in a row.

Jurnal Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan publishes its issues biannually in June and December. In 2013, the journal was electronically registered with ISSN 2338-6061 (online).

Due to the difference of the journal title registered in ISSN 1410-4725 (printed) to the journal title which is currently used, Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI), as an institute at which a journal is registered for an ISSN, suggests the publisher to stop using the ISSN 1410-4725 (printed) and register the journal for a new ISSN (printed) with the specific title, Jurnal Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan. Thus, the latest issue published with ISSN 1410-4725 (printed) is Vol. 22, No. 1, 2018 (June). In the upcoming edition, namely Vol. 22, No. 2, 2018 (December), the journal will use the new ISSN (printed) (currently in process).
