Records & Data Retention
Records and Editorial Data Retention · MOZAIK
What we keep, and why.
Which editorial records the journal keeps, who can see them, and for how long.
01What is kept▾
— Submissions and their versions, declarations such as the Author Declaration Form, and authorship records.
— Reviews, decision letters, and correspondence with authors, reviewers, and editors.
— Records of corrections, retractions, complaints, appeals, and cases of research integrity, including the evidence received.
02How long▾
Confidential editorial records are kept for at least five years. They are kept longer when a complaint, a legal matter, an integrity case, or an issue with the published record needs them.
03Who can see them▾
— Only the editors and staff who need them for their work.
— Records are not part of the public archive. See Archiving Policy.
04Personal data▾
The journal collects and keeps only what it needs to document its decisions and to answer questions about them. Personal data are handled as described in the Privacy Statement.
05Requests▾
Questions about records, or requests relating to personal data, may be sent to [MOZAIK email].
