E-Learning Training Methods in Participant Performance Development at the KKB Jember Training Center
Abstract
This qualitative study aims to describe the implementation of e-learning training methods in the development of trainees’ performance at the KKB Training Center in Jember. The study adopts a case study approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, document analysis, and focus group discussions involving 20 participants consisting of trainees, instructors, system administrators, and structural officials. The findings reveal that the implementation of e-learning is a complex process involving dynamic interactions among technological, pedagogical, and participant-related aspects. The results indicate disparities in infrastructure access, variations in participants’ technological adaptability, and limitations in the utilization of collaborative features of the Learning Management System. Training performance varies across different aspects, with e-learning being more effective in enhancing theoretical understanding but less optimal in developing practical skills. This study highlights the need for a more integrated and contextualized approach to implementing e-learning by taking into account the diversity of participant characteristics and specific job-related needs.
