Submissions from Editors and Board Members

HUMANIKA accepts submissions from editors, editorial board members, and other individuals involved in journal governance, provided that all manuscripts undergo the same scholarly and ethical standards applied to other submissions.

Individuals with a direct interest in a submitted manuscript must not participate in its editorial assessment, reviewer selection, deliberation, or final decision.

Such submissions should be assigned to an independent editor who has no relevant competing interest. Where necessary, an editor from outside the journal's regular management structure may be appointed.

The journal should maintain appropriate records of the independent handling process and disclose relevant information when required by its publication policies. Editorial affiliation must not confer preferential treatment or reduce the requirements for peer review.
