Editorial Roles and Responsibilities
HUMANIKA assigns editorial responsibilities to support a fair, efficient, and accountable publication process.
The Editor-in-Chief provides overall academic leadership and oversees editorial policy, publication quality, and the consistency of editorial decisions. Managing editors coordinate manuscript workflows and communication. Handling editors assess submissions within their areas of expertise and manage peer review. Editorial assistants and production personnel support administrative and technical processes.
Editors are responsible for maintaining confidentiality, identifying competing interests, evaluating reviewer recommendations critically, and ensuring that decisions are based on scholarly merit.
Editorial responsibilities may be delegated when appropriate, but accountability for the integrity of the editorial process remains with the journal's designated leadership.
