Author Fees

Diksi is an open-access journal: all articles are free to read, download, and share immediately on publication. To cover part of the publishing costs, the journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC), payable only after a manuscript has been accepted.

2. What the APC Covers

  • Editorial management and the online submission system
  • Copyediting, layout, and proofreading
  • DOI registration (Crossref) and metadata deposit
  • Online hosting, indexing, and long-term preservation

3. When and How to Pay

  1. After acceptance, the editor sends an invoice with the payment instructions to the corresponding author.
  2. Pay the APC using the method stated in the invoice and send the proof of payment to jurnal_diksi@uny.ac.id.
  3. The article proceeds to copyediting and publication once payment (or a waiver) is confirmed.
Pay only to the account stated in the official invoice from the journal. Diksi never asks for payment to a personal account or before acceptance. Report suspicious requests to jurnal_diksi@uny.ac.id.

4. Waivers

  • Authors who do not have sufficient funds may request a full or partial waiver.
  • Write the waiver request in the Comments for the Editor field during submission, briefly explaining the reason.
  • Waiver requests are handled separately from the editorial process and do not influence the review or the decision. The editorial team ensures that financial constraints do not prevent the publication of quality research.

5. Editorial Independence and Refunds

  • Editorial decisions are based only on scholarly quality and fit with the scope. Payment does not speed up review or guarantee publication.
  • The APC is not charged for rejected or withdrawn manuscripts. If an accepted article is later retracted, the APC is not refunded.
