Efektivitas Penggunaan Media Pembelajaran MIPA di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Swasta (SMPS) di Kota Ruteng

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui jenis media pembelajaran MIPA di SMPS di kota Ruteng, menganalisis aplikasi media Pembelajaran MIPA di Indonesia di SMP swasta, dan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran MIPA di SMP swasta di kota Ruteng. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan Data yaitu melalui wawancara, observasi lapangan dan dokumen. Responden penelitian ini adalah siswa SMPS Bintang Timur, SMPS St Petrus dan SMP Karya Ruteng, guru MIPA dan kepala sekolah di SMPS swasta tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran MIPA yang disediakan disekolah Swasta di Kota Ruteng minim, sehingga penggunaan media pembelajaran MIPA masih belum lengkap dan kurang maksimal. Tetapi, guru-guru MIPA di SMPS dapat mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang bisa di manfaatkan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas. Sehingga kegiatan pembelajaran berjalan dengan lancar sehingga minat belajar siswa meningkat. Jenis-jenis media pembelajaran yang sering digunakan oleh guru MIPA di SMPS di kota Ruteng adalah media cetak berupa buku pegangan guru, media visual yaitu gambar dan media realitas yaitu alat peraga lingkaran, persegi dan kerucut, herbarium kering serta puzzle sistem pencernaan. Faktor yang mempengaruhi penggunaan media pembelajaran adalah kesukaran materi, ketersediaan media, kesiapan siswa, waktu dan jumlah siswa.
