Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) produce a design of a digital guidebook for spice blends for Oukup, (2) produce the development process of a digital guidebook for spice blends for Oukup, (3) determine the feasibility level of the development of a digital guidebook for spice blends for Oukup. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with a 4D development model which includes the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The define stage was carried out through material definition and needs analysis using a survey of 31 respondents. The design stage involved product planning and the design of a digital guidebook created using Canva and Microsoft Word applications. The develop stage includes the product development process through validation by material experts and media experts, as well as product trials with users. The final stage is disseminate, which is the distribution of the product to beginner therapists and the general public. The results showed that the developed digital guidebook obtained a feasibility score from material experts of 91.5%, from media experts of 97.5%, limited-scale testing of 94.45%, and user testing of 95.4%. These results indicate that the digital guidebook for spice blends for Karo traditional Oukup is categorized as very feasible to be used as a practical reference guide for beginner therapists and the general public.
