Electricity is one of the basic necessities of human life. The electricity we use is the result of a long process of generation, transmission, distribution, and utilisation. The scope of utilisation refers to the use of electrical energy to support human activities in industrial, commercial, and residential settings. The objective of Electrical Safety Education is to provide knowledge, insight, and experience related to safety, reliability, procedures for using electrical energy, and the proper operation of electrical equipment. The community service activity in the form of Electrical Safety education was carried out at the Serut Pengasih hamlet hall, Kulonprogo, Yogyakarta, on 20 July 2024, with 34 residents participating. Prior to the community education, a demonstration medium in the form of a reliable and safe residential electrical circuit was developed. The demonstration media was developed on a 50x100 cm board containing components such as a kWh meter, PHB box, MCB, ELCB, switch, contact box, lamp, and electrical accessories. The community service was carried out using lectures, discussions, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and evaluation. The results of the community service programme revealed that participants understood and were able to apply electrical safety properly and correctly on the demonstration media. It is hoped that after completing the activity, participants will be able to apply this knowledge directly in their surrounding environment.
