PENGARUH KONFLIK ANTAR INDIVIDU, BUDAYA ORGANISASI DAN STRESS KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA DOSEN

Abstract

The Objectives of this research are to verify that ;(1)  the inter- personal conflict affects the lecturer's stress , (2) an organizational culture affects on the lecturer's stress,(3) the lecturer's stress affects the lecturer's performance, (4) the interpersonal conflict affects the lecturer's stress, and (5) the organizational culture affects the lecturer's stress. The research was conducted at The State Polytechnic of Jakarta in 2008, with n=  95 selected randomly. Path analysis is used to analyze the effect of interpersonal conflict,  organizational culture, and individual stress on lecturer's performance. Research findings show that; (1) the interpersonal conflict has a direct effect on the  lecturer's stress,(2) the organizational culture has a direct effect on the lecturer's performance, and (3) the lecturer's stress has a direct effect on lecturer's performance, (4) the interpersonal conflict has a direct effect on the lecturer's stress, and (5) the organizational has a direct effect on the lecturer's stress. .These findings remind the higher education organizer to develop their staff not only focusing on the improvement of their education, but also the development of their softskills, so that they will have a good leadership, a strong motivation, and they can adapt with the changes. The findings can also  strengthen other reseaches on how interpersonal conflict, and organizational culture affected lectures' individual stress, affected on their performance.
