Journal History

In the Issue Title (In Archives as well as Header), REID (Research and Evaluation in Education) previously used Month as an additional information which appears following the volume and number of the issues. However, since Vol. 3 No. 1 (2017), the month has been eliminated to make it more suitable to reference manager applications.

Since the first until the fourth issue (Vol. 1 No. 1, June 2015 until Vol. Vol. 2 No. 2, December 2016), the journal title written in the header of the manuscript and the journal website was "Research and Evaluation in Education". In these issues, the affiliation and email address of all of the author(s) were written in the full text, and there was a blank space on the first page, separating the first page of the manuscript (containing the manuscript title, author(s) affiliation and email abstract, and keywords) and the second page containing the introduction and the whole research report.

In the issues of Vol. 1 No. 1, 2015 until Vol. 2 No. 1, 2016, the volume, issue number, year, and pages of publication were written below the title of the journal. Meanwhile, starting from Vol. 2 No. 2, 2016, the volume, issue number, year, and pages of each manuscript published were placed right after the title of the journal, in order to make it more readable to the reference manager.

Starting from the issue of Vol. 2 No. 1, 2016, the first page of each manuscript published has been providing a note on how the article can be cited in APA style. This note addition is included in order to make the readers and author candidates more aware of how to write the proper citation in APA style, as required in the journal.

Started from the issue of Vol. 3 No. 1, 2017, the journal title written in the journal header was adjusted to the journal title stated in the ISSN, namely REID (Research and Evaluation in Education). The title of each manuscript was started to be written in small letters, using a capital letter only at the beginning of the title and the proper nouns and where it is appropriate. In addition, since the first issue in 2017, it was only the corresponding author's affiliation and email which are written in the full text of the article. Meanwhile, co-authors' affiliation is presented in the metadata on the journal website. Article history of each manuscript was also presented in the full text started from the issue of Vol. 3 No. 1, 2017. The introduction section is also started to be written on the first page of each manuscript, following the abstract and keywords in order to reduce the blank space in the journal layout.

Since Prof. Djemari Mardapi, Ph.D. has passed away, starting from May 2020, all duties of Editor in Chief of REID (Research and Evaluation in Education) has been assigned to Prof. Dr. Badrun Kartowagiran. In September 2022, Prof. Dr. Badrun Kartowagiran passed away. Thus, since January 2023, Prof. Dr. Heri Retnawati leads the journal as the Editor in Chief.

An additional feature of QR code is embedded in each article published starting from Vol. 6 No. 1, to make it easier for readers to find the original article source to increase its reliability.
