Nominal: Barometer Riset Akuntansi dan Manajemen was first published in 2012 and is managed by the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta.

Initially, this journal was held to accommodate aspirations and research results among students and lecturers of the Faculty of Economics and Business. Along with its development, currently Nominal has published various articles in the field of accounting from various authors with various backgrounds.
