KARAKTER PRO-LINGKUNGAN: 3S PLUS 6R MENUJU INSAN “NGERTI-NGERASA-NGELAKONI”

Abstract


Kerusakan lingkungan di Indonesia termasuk kategori “parah”. Hal ini akan berdampak munculnya global warming, banjir, dan persebaran wabah penyakit. Adanya permasalahan ini maka diperlukan suatu solusi. Salah satu solusi mendasar yaitu penguatan karakter “pro-lingkungan” pada generasi muda. Pelestarian lingkungan telah didukung oleh pemerintah, salah satunya tentang sampah, dalam UU No.18 Tahun 2008 dan PP No. 81 Tahun 2012. Peraturan tersebut mengamanatkan pengelolaan sampah dari paradigma “buang” menjadi pengolahan berkelanjutan. Pengelolaan lingkungan untuk keberlanjutan dimuat dalam pendidikan karakter “pro-lingkungan”. Pendidikan karakter pro-lingkungan diimplementasikan pada tingkat dasar, menengah, tinggi, maupun umum. Karakter pro-lingkungan dapat ditumbuhkan dengan falsafah sentuh tanah-sentuh air-sentuh budaya (3S) dan falsafah rethink-reduce-replace-repair-reuse-recycle (6R) secara simultan dengan dimensi moral knowing, moral feeling dan moral action hingga masyarakat memperoleh “ngerti-ngerasa-ngelakoni” artinya mengerti, menginsyafi dalam hati dan melakukan suatu tindakan nyata.

PRO-ENVIRONMENTAL CHARACTER: 3S PLUS 6R BEING HUMAN “NGERTI-NGERASA-NGELAKONI”

Abstract

The damage of environment in Indonesia was categorized as "severe". This would result in the emergence of global warming, floods, and the spread of diseases. The existence of this problems, we need a solution. One of the fundamental solution is strengthening the character of "pro-environment" to the younger generation. The environmental sustainability has been supported by the government, one of the rubbish in UU No. 18 Tahun 2008 and PP. No. 81 Tahun 2012. The regulation mandates of waste management paradigm "waste" into a continuous processing. The environmental management for sustainability loaded in education of pro-environmental character. The education of pro-environmental character implemented on elementary level, secondary level, higher level, or the public. The education of pro-environmental character can be grown with a philosophy of “sentuh tanah, sentuh air, dan sentuh budaya” (3S) and rethink-reduce- replace-repair-reuse- recycle (6R) with the moral dimension of moral knowing, moral feeling and moral action  to obtain something called society “ngerti-ngerasa-ngelakoni" those means to understand, to realize and to be performed a real action
