Focus and Scope

Psychological Research and Intervention is a biannual, peer-reviewed, and accredited scientific journal proudly published by the Department of Psychology at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Established in 2018, the journal serves as a dynamic platform for the dissemination of high-quality research in psychological science and psychological interventions. We welcome a wide spectrum of scientific manuscripts, including original empirical research, whether quantitative, qualitative, or mixed/multi-method approaches, as well as various forms of reviews, such as scoping reviews, systematic literature reviews, meta-analyses, and traditional narrative reviews.

As an open-access journal, Psychological Research and Intervention is committed to fostering accessibility and knowledge sharing without imposing publication fees. By providing free access to current research, we aim to advance psychological science and support scholarly exchange in Indonesia and on a global scale. Manuscripts are accepted in both English and Bahasa Indonesia. However, since the journal publishes exclusively in English, authors submitting manuscripts in Bahasa Indonesia will be required to have them translated into English. We also provide translation services for author who wishes to have their manuscript translated by us, this service may incur a fee.
