Plagiarism Check and Policy

The Journal of Applied Culinary Arts (JACA) is strongly committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and originality in all published works. Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.
To ensure the authenticity of all materials, every submitted manuscript undergoes a rigorous similarity screening process using professional detection software (such as Turnitin or iThenticate) before peer review and publication.
Guidelines and Thresholds:
  • Maximum Similarity: The maximum allowed similarity score is 20%.
  • Revision/Rejection: If a manuscript exceeds this threshold, it will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected outright.
  • Exclusions: The bibliography, small quotes, and commonly used academic phrases are typically excluded from the similarity check.
Authors are strongly encouraged to check their own manuscripts for similarity and ensure all sources are properly cited prior to submission.
