This research aims to develop and implement a recreational-educational concept in the interior design of the Cemeti Yogyakarta Art House. The method employed in this design thinking research consists of several stages, namely: (1) Empathise; (2) Define; (3) Ideate; (4) Prototype; (5) Test. The design outcomes encompass zoning, layout, flooring, walls, ceilings, and furniture. These design results underwent a trial phase, which involved video-based trials supported by virtual reality tools. The assessments, conducted by four evaluators – the building users – resulted in an average score for design feasibility indicators: strongly agree (38.67%), agree (50%), disagree (10%), and strongly disagree (16.33%). The indicators of the application of recreational and educational concepts yielded an average score of "strongly agree" (37.5%), with "agree" (62.5%) being the most common response, and no respondents disagreeing or strongly disagreeing.
