Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

  1. Prior to submission, register and log in as an author to the system. The manuscript must be submitted through the system of the journal. Manuscript submissions through email will not be considered.
  2. Manuscripts should be submitted in doc, docx, or rtf format following the article template.
  3. The article should be written based on the results of research or scientific studies (non-research) in the field of art, craft, design and the learnings. The article should be submitted in the form of Microsoft Word files of 3.000–6.000 words long (excluding abstract and references).
  4. Research articles are written in the following systematic order: title, author’s name, address of institution and correspondence (e-mail address); abstract (150-200 words: containing objectives, methods, research results, and main conclusions); keywords; introduction (containing research problems, current scientific situation, may refer to the literature on which research is based); method; findings and discussion (reinforced by relevant research theories or findings); conclusion; references.
  5. Non-research articles are written in the following systematic order: title, author's name, address of institution and correspondence (e-mail address); abstract (150-200 words: containing objectives, methods, research results, and main conclusions); keywords; introduction (containing research problems, current scientific situation, may refer to the literature on which research is based); description of the problem; conclusion; references.
  6. The title of the article is short and concise according to the content and a maximum of fifteen words.
  7. The author’s name (without an academic degree) is placed under the title of the article. Underneath, place the author’s institution, and address (including e-mail address or phone number). If the article is written by a team, all the team members' names must be written. However, the editor only corresponds to the primary author or the author whose name is placed in the first line.
  8. The abstract should be written in a single paragraph, 150-200 words, highlighting the key messages from the research, like research goals, methods, and findings, and showing how the paper contributes to the field of education as a whole. Keywords should be written under the abstract and reflect the paper's substance as mentioned in the title. The format of the writing of the abstract and keywords and the body of the article must follow the template.
  9. The introduction should consist of the background of the study, research contexts, literature review, and research objectives. The introduction is approximately 20% of the body of the article. The font used is Times New Roman size 11.
  10. The method section consists of a description concerning the research design, research site and participants or documents, data collection, and data analysis with a proportion of 10-15% of the total article length.
  11. The findings and discussion section consists of a description of the data analysis results to answer the research question(s) and their meanings seen from current theories and references of the area addressed. The proportion of this section is 40-60% of the total article length.
  12. The conclusion consists of the main findings' summary, restatement and implication(s).
  13. Every source cited in the body of the article should appear in the references, and all sources appearing in the reference should be cited in the body of the article.
  14. Quotations, citations, tables, figures, and references must comply with the APA 7th citation style. Citation is done using brackets (last name and year of publication). The page number is included when the sources are cited verbatim (p. 78 or pp. 78-89).
  15. The sources cited should be primary sources in the form of reputable journal articles (strongly recommended), books, and research reports, including theses and dissertations. Citations from a journal should be at least 60% of the total references cited.
  16. Manuscripts may be submitted in English or Bahasa Indonesia. 
  17. Submission, review process, and publication are free of charge.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidline and Article Template.
  4. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
