Abstract

Waste management in rural areas often faces challenges such as manual data recording, low public awareness, and lack of system transparency. This program aimed to develop and implement a website-based waste bank system through the SADAKAH (Sampah Dadi Berkah) platform in Playen Village, Gunungkidul. The methods involved literature review, data collection through surveys and interviews, system design using (Entity Relationship Diagram) ERD and flowcharts, development with Laravel 11 framework, and user trials. The results showed that the SADAKAH website improved data recording efficiency, transaction transparency, and public participation in waste management. The program recorded 136 active households (≈9.4%), 1,571.2 kg of managed waste, and an increase in community income of IDR 3,015,464 over three months. Additionally, the system supports the marketing of recycled products and serves as a digital education medium. The website provides role-based features for admins, operators, members, and the public, facilitating streamlined system management. This innovation is expected to be replicable in other villages to support sustainable digital-based waste management.
