Focus and Scope

Jurnal Ilmu Manajemen (JIM) aims to publish original research to contribute theoretically and practically to the fields of functional areas of marketing management, finance management, strategic management, operation management, human resource management, e-business, knowledge management, management accounting, management control system, management information system, international business, business economics, business ethics and sustainable, and entrepreneurship. JIM is committed to providing perspectives from developing countries such as Indonesia and other developing countries. JIM aspires to elevate these viewpoints to appeal to a wide readership, which adds to the understanding, discussion of business professionals and academics around the world.

JIM challenges potential authors to produce high quality research, grounded in theory and with high methodological rigor. Demonstration of effective conceptual contributions will be considered in the journal's editorial process. To be published in JIM, authors must adhere to high research standards and contribute to theory and/or practice in related fields, regardless of whether the level of analysis is an individual, organization, region, or country.

Jurnal Ilmu Manajemen (JIM) is published by Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta.

Peer Review Process

All submissions received will be selected by the editorial board. Selected manuscripts will be sent to reviewers. The reviewers will examine the feasibility of the manuscript. Peer review is carried out by blind review to ensure objectivity in assessing the feasibility of the manuscript. Reviewers are given the opportunity to decide whether the manuscript is; accepted without revision, accepted with minor revisions, accepted with major revisions, and rejected. The accepted manuscript will be edited and published.

The initial decision whether the article is eligible for further processing is a maximum of 4 weeks from the time it was originally submitted


 

Publication Frequency

The journal published two times a year on June and December

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Publication Ethics

This is the statement of ethics for Jurnal Ilmu Manajemen published by Department of Management, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. This statement was adapted from the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and covers the code of ethics for chief editor, editorial board members, reviewers and authors.

Authors

  1. Have the responsibility of ensuring only new and original work is submitted. (do not contain plagiarism)
  2. Must not reproduce work that has been previously published in other journals.
  3. Must not submit any articles that are being reviewed or considered by the journal to other journals simultaneously.
  4. Are only allowed to publish their work elsewhere after receiving a formal rejection from the journal or if their request to withdraw their work is officially accepted by the journal.
  5. Must inform the Chief Editor or the publisher of any inaccuracy of data in their published work so that correction or retraction of article can be done.
  6. Should make significant contributions and be held accountable for any shortcoming in their work.

 Reviewers

  1. Must disclose any competing interest before agreeing to review a submission.
  2. Can refuse to review any submission due to a conflict of interest or inadequate knowledge.
  3. Review all submissions objectively, fairly and professionally.
  4. Reveal any ethical misconduct encountered while reviewing to the Chief Editor for further action.
  5. Should ensure the originality of a submission and be alert to any plagiarism and redundant publication.
  6. Must not discuss the content of the submission without permission.
  7. Adhere to the time allocated for the review process. Requests for extension to review the submission is at the discretion of the Chief Editor.

Editorial Board Members

  1. Actively contribute to the development and the greater good of the journal.
  2. Act as ambassadors for the journal.
  3. Continuously support and promote the journal.
  4. Review any work assigned to them.

Chief Editor

  1. Evaluate manuscripts fairly and solely on their intellectual merit.
  2. Ensure confidentiality of manuscripts and not disclose any information regarding manuscripts to anyone other than the people involved in the publishing process.
  3. Has the responsibility to decide when and which articles are to be published.
  4. Actively seek the views of board members, reviewers and authors on how to improve/ increase the image and visibility of the journal.
  5. Give clear instructions to potential contributors on the submission process and what is expected of the authors.
  6. Ensure appropriate reviewers are selected/ identified for the reviewing process.

 

Article Publicatian Charges

Jurnal Ilmu Manajemen (JIM) is an open access journal. Starting from issue of Vol 20, No 1, June 2023, articles published on JIM will be required to pay for Article Publicatian Charges (APC).

Article Submission is IDR 0,00. Article Processing Charges is IDR 500,000. Authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charges as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs. If article accepted for publication, authors have to pay an Article Processing Charges to cover publications costs.

 

 

Waiver Article Publicatian Charges

Jurnal Ilmu Manajemen (JIM) will waive the APC fee for accepted articles with foreign authors or one of the authors from abroad (author collaboration). Foreign Authors= author from countries outside Indonesia.
