Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melestarian budaya khususnya budaya berbusana, dengan
menggali lebih dalam tentang busana etnis Aceh, dan menjadikannya sebagai sumber ide untuk
menciptakan desain busana pesta bernuansa etnis Aceh. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan
adalah kualitatif dengan menekankan pada metode etnografi. Hasil penelitian ini menyebutkan
bahwa busana etnis Aceh dibagi menjadi lima wilayah budaya, yaitu Aceh pesisir, Aceh
pedalaman, Aceh pegunungan, Aneuk Jame, dan Tamiang. Dari kelima jenis busana etnis Aceh
yang ada saat ini terdapat beberapa perbedaan, yaitu pada jenis bahan, warna bahan, bentuk ragam
hias (motif), warna ragam hias, teknik aplikasi ragam hias dan model busana. Setiap busana etnis
memiliki khas yang membedakan antara busana etnis satu dan lainnya, yang dikatakan sebagai
suatu identitas Aceh.

PARTY FASHION DESIGN IN ACEH ETHNIC NUANCES
Abstract
This research was conducted as a cultural preservation effort, especially in the culture of
dress, by digging deeper about the ethnic fashion of Acehnese that exists today, then making it
a source of ideas to create a fashion design for Acehnese ethnic parties. The research approach
used is qualitative, with ethnographic methods. The Acehnese ethnic fashion currently has five
types based on the regions, namely Aceh Coastal, Aceh Inland, Aceh Mountains, Aneuk Jame,
and Tamiang. Of the five types of Acehnese ethnic fashion that exist today there are several
differences, namely in the type of material, colour, shape of decorative (motif), decorative colour,
ornamental applications techniques and models of clothing. Each ethnic fashion has its distinctive
features distinguishing between one ethnic fashion and another, which is said to be an identity.
