Peran PKn sebagai pendidikan politik dalam membangun sikap demokratis dan partisipasi siswa dalam organisasi di SMA

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap peran PKn sebagai pendidikan politik untuk: (1) membangun sikap demokratis siswa (2) membangun partisipasi siswa dalam organisasi (3) mengetahui hambatan dalam membangun sikap demokratis dan partisipasi siswa dan (4) upaya untuk mengatasi hambatan dalam membangun sikap demokratis dan partisipasi siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, serta dokumentasi. Analisis data mengunakan model analisis interaktif oleh (Miles and Hubermen) dengan langkah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Membangun sikap demokratis siswa melalui sikap interaktif guru di kelas, pemberian materi PKn pada pertemuan dikelas menggunakan metode pembelajaran seperti diskusi kelompok (2) Membangun partisipasi siswa dilakukan melalui pembelajaran dikelas. Sikap interaktif guru PKn dalam proses pembelajaran mendorong siswa ikut berpartisipasi mengeluarkan pendapatnya, dukungan sekolah melalui kegiatan forum diskusi sangat membantu siswa dalam berfikir dan bersikap aktif (3) Hambatan terjadi karena adanya faktor lingkungan sekitar yang kurang baik membawa dampak negatif bagi siswa, adanya rasa malas. (4) Upaya dengan mengupayakan pembelajaran yang menarik untuk siswa, memberikan motivasi agar mampu mengambil setiap keputusan, serta mengontrol tingkah laku siswa melalui kerjasama antara guru dan orang tua.

THE ROLE OF CIVIC EDUCATION AS A POLITICAL EDUCATION TO BUILD STUDENTS’ DEMOCRATIC ATTITUDE AND PARTICIPATION IN STUDENT ORGANIZATION AT SMA

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the role of civic education as political education to: (1) build students’ democratic attitude, (2) build students’ participation in organization (3) find out the obstacles in building students’ democratic attitude and students’ participation, and (4) attempt to overcome the obstacles in building students’ democratic attitude and students’ participation. The data of the research were collected by interviewing, observing and documenting. An interactive analysis model by (Miles and Hubermen) was used to analyze the data, with steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the research are as follows.  (1) the building students' democratic attitude through interactive teacher in class, the civic education materials were given in class by using learning methods like group discussion (2) the building students' participation was done by learning in class. Interactive  civic education teacher in learning process encourage the students to join the participation to give their opinions, the school support through forum discussion activity is very helpful for students in thinking and active (3) the obstacles happen because of the bad environment factor that brings negative impact to the students, the laziness. (4) the effort by giving an interesting learning for the students, giving motivations in taking decisions, also controlling the behavior of the students through cooperation between teachers and parents
