The Influence of Professional Placements and Job Information on the Work Readiness of Class XII Machinery Engineering Students at SMK N 2 Wonosari

Abstract

This study aims to explain the effect of professional placement and job information partially or simultaneously on the work readiness of XII grade students of Machining Engineering at SMK Negeri 2 Wonosari in the 2023/2024 academic year. This type of research uses ex-post facto research with a quantitative approach. This study used a sample of 84 students who were determined using proportional random sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out by simple linear regression analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that professional placement had a positive and significant effect on work readiness with an effect of 41.2%; job information had a positive and significant effect on work readiness with an effect of 46.3%; professional placement and job information together had a positive and significant effect on work readiness with an effect of 52.7%, where the effective contribution of professional placement variables was 21.8%, the effective contribution of job information variables was 30.9%.
