Abstract

The battery is the most important component of the Prambanan Express train. The condition of the electrolyte water level, current and voltage of the Prambanan Express train battery has not been monitored accurately or in real time, so monitoring is needed. This final project aims to design and development, conduct functional testing, and evaluate the perfomance. The results of the system design that has been carried out show that the components used in the telemetry system for Prambanan Express train battery monitoring are the PZEM-017 sensor, Grove Water Level Sensor. The measurement results from the sensor are displayed on the ThingsBoard platform. The results of the functional test show that all components used in the telemetry system tool for Prambanan Express train battery monitoring can function normally and the measurement error value is in accordance with the datasheet limits of each component. The percentage error value of the sensor accuracy test shows a value below 5% with the largest error value in current measurement of 3% and the smallest error in distance measurement of 0.0%, so that the sensor is in normal condition and the value is below the IEC 13B-23 standard.
