A lithium-ion battery pack consists of batteries arranged in series and parallel configurations to meet large power requirements. However, imbalances often occur within a battery pack, leading to uneven discharging and charging. This can reduce the battery pack's performance and cause damage. Therefore, monitoring the battery pack is necessary to understand the performance conditions and balance of each cell in the battery pack. The aim of this final project is to design, test the functionality, and evaluate the performance of a monitoring tool. The research stages include requirement analysis, design, construction, and testing of the telemetry system. The result of this research is the successful development of a telemetry system for monitoring each cell of a 18650 lithium-ion battery pack, based on the Node MCU ESP 32. The functionality tests showed that the largest average voltage sensor error was 0.29% for INA219 (3) and the smallest was 0.13% for INA219 (2). The largest average current sensor error was 2.01% for ACS712 (2), and the smallest was 1.46% for ACS712 (1). The performance tests of the developed system demonstrated that it can be used for remote monitoring using the ThingSpeak platform. Additionally, this telemetry system works well during discharging, charging, and no-load conditions.
