THE DATA OF THE DARMA IN THE HISTORIOGRAPHIC PERSPECTIVE

Abstrak
Naskah Sewaka Darma merupakan produk historiografi masyarakat Sunda masa lampau yang menggambarkan pandangan masyarakat kala itu. Kita bisa memahami kehidupan beragama dan pola perilaku masyarakat penganutnya. Akan tetapi, bagaimana sebenarnya Naskah Sewaka Darma dalam perspektif historiografi? Tulisan ini akan mengkaji pertanyaan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode sejarah, yang meliputi heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa Naskah Sewaka Darma yang berisi tentang ajaran agama, khususnya uraian pelepasan moksa, adalah bagian dari historiografi tradisional dengan ciri-ciri tidak kronologis, religius, dan diliputi oleh kosmologis dan astrologis.

Abstract
Sewaka Darma Manuscript is a Sundanese product historiography of the past that depicts people's views at that time. We can understand the religious life and behavior patterns of the adherents. However, how exactly is the Sewaka Darma Manuscript in the perspective of historiography? This paper will examine the question. The method used is the historical method, which includes heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results of the study show that the Sewaka Darma Manuscript which contains religious teachings, specifically the description of the release of moksa, is part of traditional historiography with features not chronological, religious, and covered by cosmologists and astrologists.
