Focus and Scope
Humanika: Kajian Ilmiah Mata Kuliah Umum published by Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta is an academic journal, publishes high-quality manuscripts that engage theoretical and empirical issues including education, social sciences, and religion studies. They are tackled from a multidisciplinary perspective. The journal also features case studies focusing on practical implications or papers related to learning and teaching in social and science disciplines.

Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts are read by the editorial staff. Those manuscripts evaluated by editors to be inappropriate to journal criteria are rejected promptly without external review. Manuscripts evaluated to be of potential interest to our readership are sent to minimally two reviewers. review process using double blind method. The editors then make a decision based on the reviewer’s recommendation from among several possibilities: rejected, require major revision, need minor revision, or accepted.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
Withdrawal Policy
The author is not allowed to withdraw submitted manuscript because the withdrawal is a waste of valuable resources that editors and referees spent a great deal of time processing submitted manuscript, and works invested by the Publisher. However, the authors could suggest the withdrawal if there is no updated progress review information after six months from our side.
Withdrawal Penalty
- Manuscript in Review Process. If the author still requests withdrawal of his/her manuscript when the manuscript is still in the peer-reviewing process, the author will be punished with paying Rp. 1.000.000 per paper as a withdrawal penalty to the Publisher. However, it is unethical to withdraw a submitted manuscript from one journal if accepted by another journal.
- Accepted Manuscript for publication. The withdrawal of the accepted manuscript for publication will be punished by paying Rp. 1.500.000 per manuscript. Withdrawal of the manuscript is only allowed after the penalty has been fully paid to the Publisher. If the author(s) does not agree with the penalty, the author and his/her affiliation will be blacklisted for publication in this journal. Even his/her previously published articles will be removed from our online system.
Correction Policy
Article Correction
Humanika: Kajian Ilmiah Mata Kuliah Umum should consider issuing a correction if:
- A small part of an otherwise reliable publication reports flawed data or proves to be misleading, especially if this is the result of honest error.
- The Author or Contributor list is incorrect (e.g. a deserving Author has been omitted or someone who does not meet authorship criteria has been included).
Corrections to peer-reviewed content fall into one of three categories:
- Publisher correction (erratum): to notify readers of a significant error made by publishing/journal staff (usually a production error) that has a negative impact on the publication record or the scientific integrity of the article or the reputation of the Authors or the Journal.
- Author correction (corrigendum): to notify readers of a significant error made by the Authors which harms the publication record, the scientific integrity of the article, or the reputation of the Authors or the Journal.
- Addendum: an addition to the article by its Authors to explain inconsistencies, expand the existing work, or otherwise explain or update the information in the main work.
Whether a correction should be issued is made by the Editor (s) of a journal, sometimes with advice from Reviewers or Editorial Board members. Handling Editors will contact the Authors of the paper concerned with a request for clarification, but the final decision about whether a correction is required and, if so, which type rests with the Editors.
