Abstract

This research is survey research that aims to describe the numeracy abilities and growth mindset level of junior high school and Tsanawiyah students in Purworejo Regency. The research was conducted at six schools with a total sample of 171 class VIII students from three junior high schools and three Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Purworejo Regency. The data was analyzed using parameter estimates to see numeracy abilities and population growth mindset levels as well as correlation tests to see the relationship between numeracy abilities and students' growth mindset levels. The research results show that in general the average score of students' numeracy skills is in the category that requires special intervention and the level of students' growth mindset is in the medium category. Based on the correlation test, it was found that the relationship between numeracy ability and students' growth mindset was significant but low.
