Author Guidelines

  1. Jurnal Pendidikan Teknik Sipil publishes research results and scientific studies in the field of Engineering or Vocational/Civil Vocational Education.
  2. JPTS (Jurnal Pendidikan Teknik Sipil) is published to disseminate information related to various results of model development, experiments, classroom action research, model evaluation, development of educational media in the field of Civil Engineering Education. JPTS is open to academics, education practitioners to express the phenomena that are happening.
  3. The manuscripts should be the original work either as a research or reference studies that have never been published in any form of publication.
  4. Manuscript accepted is written in standard Indonesian and written referring to the TEMPLATE [DOWNLOAD]
  5. The manuscript must be in *.doc or * .rtf, and sent to the journal system via online submission by creating an account in this Open Journal System (OJS) [click REGISTER if you have not had any account yet, or click LOG IN if you have already had an account].
  6. All Author(s)' names and identity(es) must be completely embedded in the form filled in by the corresponding author: email; affiliation; and each author's short biography (in the column of 'Bio Statement'). [if the manuscript is written by two or more authors, please click 'Add Author' in the 3rd step of 'ENTER METADATA' in the submission process and then enter each author's data.]
  7. The authors' biography (in the column of Bio Statement) is written in the form of narration, including the author's full name, place, and date of birth, educational qualification/information, the affiliation in which the author is currently working, phone number, and email address.
  8. Once your manuscript has come back from reviewers you may be given the opportunity to revise it in accordance with the reviewer comments. Please follow the procedure [DOWNLOAD] to access the reviewers’ comments and sent the revised paper.
  9. The journal writing format explained in the TEMPLATE [DOWNLOAD] as follows:
  • The title of the manuscript should be no more than 15 words, accurately describe the content
  • The abstract consists of 150-250 words written in a single paragraph. It should be clear, informative, descriptive, and provide a clear statement of the problem, the proposed approach or solution, and point out major findings and conclusions
  • Keywords consist of words or phrases which are important, specific or representative of the article.
  • The introduction should provide a clear background, a clear statement of the problem, the relevant literature on the subject, the proposed approach or solution, the new value of research, and end with the purpose of the study.
  • The method includes research chronological, including research design, research procedures, instruments, and analysis techniques used in solving problems.
  • Results and Discussion should be an objective description of the results and should be in relation to the purposes of the research.
  • References should at least consist of 20 most pertinent and up-to-date sources. 30% of the references (at least 6 must be from reputable international journals)

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
