Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

  1. The manuscripts should be the original work either as a research or review studies related to  the field of electrical engineering, mechatronic engineering, or educational technology on electrical and mechatronics engineering which have never been published in any form of publication or are being submitted for publication elsewhere inside and outside the country.
  2. The manuscript is written in standard Indonesian language or English in the Ms Word program. The number of pages is 11 - 15 pages on A4 size paper. It should be typed in 1.15 spaces using New Times Roman (size 11).
  3. The manuscript could be sent by email at edukasielektro@uny.ac.id or through online submission at http://journal.uny.ac.id/index.php/jee or is submitted to the secretariat office of the Jurnal Edukasi Elektro in duplicate (1 original and 1 copy)  with the soft copy.
  4. The author should write the author’s biography, complete address (office and home), e-mail address, and telephone number.

 

The manuscript of the research result should be arranged as follows:

  1. The title describes the basic content of the manuscript, written concisely and clearly. The title should be no more than 14 words or 12 words in Indonesian language and English respectively.
  2. Author's name is followed by the profession, the institution where the author works and the e-mail address.
  3. Abstract is written in single space in Indonesian language and English. It consists of one paragraph that contains goals, methods and results. The maximum abstract length is 75-120 words, while keywords consist of 3-5 words.
  4. Introduction includes a description of the problem, the scope of the study, and literature review related to the subject being studied, as well as the formulation of the problem.
  5. Methods include the detailed descriptions of the methods, instruments, and techniques of research analysis used in solving problems.
  6. Results and Discussion is an objective description of research results related to research questions and discussion
  7. Conclusion is the formula or the answers to the research questions based on the results of the study. The conclusion is presented in a paragraph form.
  8. References is arranged alphabetically, and followed the following details:
    1. Books: Author. Year. Title of the Book (italicized). Editor (if available). City: Publisher.
    2. Articles in books: Author. Year. Title of the Article. Title of the Book (italicized). Editors. City: Publisher, Pages.
    3. Journal Articles: Author. Year. Title of Manuscript. Name of Journal (italicized).Volume. Issue, Pages.
    4. Articles in internet: Author. Title. Website, Date of Access.
  9. The tables are numbered in the sequence and titled on the top left edge of the tables.
  10. The figures include images, graphics, diagrams, maps and photos. They shoud be numbered and titled in the bottom center of the figures.

 

The manuscript of review papers should be arranged as follows:

  5. Problem-Solving Analysis includes the objective description of problem solving.
  6. Conclusion is the formula or the answers to the research questions based on the results of the study. The conclusion is presented in a paragraph form.
  7. The References are written in the same format as the research papers do.
  8. The tables are numbered in the sequence and titled on the top left edge of the tables.
  9. The figures include images, graphics, diagrams, maps and photos. They shoud be numbered and titled in the bottom center of the figures.

 

The  manuscripts will be reviewed by the reviewers according to their expertise, and the author should make improvement based on the suggestions of the reviewers and editors.

Computer programs (software) used for writing or editing the manuscripts, or other matters related to intellectual property, along with its legal consequences, are the responsibility of the author.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

The Authors submitting a manuscript do so on the understanding that if accepted for publication, copyright publishing of the article shall be assigned to Journal.

This journal charges the following author fees.

Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR)

Authors are not required to pay Article Submission Fees as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs.

With the payment of this fee, the review, editorial decision, and author notification on this manuscript is guaranteed to take place within 4 weeks.

Article Processing Charge: 500000.00 (IDR)
Authors are required to pay Article Publication Fees as part of the acceptance, review, editing and publication process.
