About the Journal

Focus and Scope

JIPSINDO publishes by Department of Social Sciences Education, Faculty of Social Sciences and Political Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta in collaboration with  Association of Indonesian Bachelor of Social Sciences Education (HISPISI) for twice a year in March and September. JIPSINDO welcome and acknowledges original research papers about Social Sciences education written by researchers, academicians, proffessionals, and practitioners from all over the world. Journal scope focusses in research about Social Science education include: curriculum, social training and teaching, instructional media, and evaluation. The paper containing research on environmental education, moral education, cultural and local wisdom education also to be focus of this journal.

Peer Review Process

The submitted manuscript first reviewed by an editor. It will be evaluated in the office, whether it is suitable for JIPSINDO focus and scope or has a major methodological flaw and similarity score using by Turnitin. The manuscript will be sent to at least two reviewers (single blind peer review). Reviewers' comments are then sent to editor.
The suggested decision will be evaluated in an editorial board meeting based on the reviewer's recommendation from among several possibilities: rejected, require major revision, need minor revision, or accepted. Afterward, the editor will send the final decision to the corresponding author.

Journal History

JIPSINDO, Jurnal Pendidikan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Indonesia first published on March 1, 2014, as a platform for publication and dissemination of research and development of social sciences (Social Studies) both theoretical and implementation in elementary school levels and universities. JIPSINDO accredited by the Indonesian ministry of education and culture with  ISSN  2355-0139 (printed) and ISSN 2615-7594 (online). JIPSINDO acknowledge and indexed by Science and Technology Index in category 3 (SINTA 3) which Certificate Number 34/E/KPT/2018.
