Ayub Prasetiyo, Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta, Indonesia

Abstract

Method Vol 1.

ANALYSIS OF SONG RHYTHM FORMULATION IN SUZUKI VIOLIN METHOD VOL. I TEACHING BOOK

Abstract
This study aims to reveal the rhythm formulation of songs in the textbook Suzuki violin
method vol 1. The method used is a theoretical and analytical study. The theoretical study focuses
on each object associated with the structure of musical elements, in this case the rhythm of the
songs contained in the book Suzuki Violin Method Vol. 1. While analytical studies focus on
rhythm objects as an effort to reconstruct why and how Shinichi Suzuki chooses and uses songs
contained in the Suzuki Violin Method Vol. 1 as teaching material. The findings show that the
rhythm in the book Suzuki Violin Method Vol. 1 tends to use a proportional and symmetrical
rhythm structure regularity.
