The Development of PowerPoint-Based Interactive Learning Media for Lathe Machining in Grade XI Vocational High School

Abstract

Many students at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten Utara are still not active in theoretical and practical learning. The learning media for lathe machining techniques does not attract students' attention. This research focused on developing learning media for lathe machining technique subjects. This research aims to produce learning media for lathe machining technique subjects and determine the level of feasibility at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten Utara. This research method is research and development (R&D) with a four-D development model. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used was simple quantitative descriptive. The results of the study found that: (1) powerpoint-based interactive media for learning lathe machining techniques consists of 5 indicators, namely taper turning, groove turning, lathe drilling, thread turning, and machining on a lathe and there is an animated video of each indicator material. (2) the results of the feasibility assessment of powerpoint-based interactive learning media by media experts obtained a feasibility percentage of 87.14% with the category "Very Worthy" the assessment by material experts obtained a feasibility percentage of 92.08% and the assessment of material experts two obtained a feasibility percentage of 92.14% with the feasibility category "Very Worthy"
