Quality Analysis of Final Examination Questions in the Lathe Machining Subject for Grade XII Vocational High School Students

The Odd Semester Final Assessment for the 2023/2024 Academic Year showed that many Berbah National Vocational School students scored below the Minimum Competency Criteria. This study aims to determine the quality of the final assessment questions of the odd semester of Lathe Machining Engineering subject class XII Mechanical Engineering SMK Nasional Berbah Academic Year 2023/2024. This research is a quantitative descriptive research. The object of this research is the answer sheet of the odd semester final assessment of lathe machining techniques consisting of 50 multiple choice questions. The question was analyzed based on validity, reliability, difficulty level, differentiating power, and the effectiveness of the checker. The subjects in this study were students. The data collection technique used the documentation method. The data was analyzed using the help of the iteman 4.3 program. The results showed that the quality of the questions was still low with details: The quality of very good question items amounted to 6 questions (12%), good quality questions amounted to 14 questions (28%), sufficient quality questions amounted to 16 questions (32%), poor quality questions amounted to 10 questions (20%), and very poor quality questions amounted to 4 questions (8%).
