The Relationship Between Parents' Education Level and Students' Learning Achievement with The Interest in Entering Higher Education of Vocational High School Students

This research aims to determine the relationship between the educational level of students' parents and their interest in entering college, determine the relationship between student learning achievement and their interest in entering college, and determine the relationship between their parents' education level and their student's learning achievement simultaneously with their interest in entering college for class students. XII Mechanical Engineering Skills Program at SMK N 1 Nanggulan Academic Year 2023/2024. The subjects of this research were students of class XII Mechanical Engineering at SMK N 1 Nanggulan, totaling 36 students. This research is a quantitative descriptive research with data collection using questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate that, there is a positive and significant relationship between Parents' Education Level and Interest in Entering College for Class XII Students of Mechanical Engineering Expertise Program at SMK N 1 Nanggulan in the 2023/2024 Academic Year, with the correlation coefficient () obtained was 0.977 (0.977 > 0.329 at 5% significance level). There is a positive and significant relationship between Student Achievement and Interest in Entering College for Class XII Students of Mechanical Engineering Expertise Program at SMK N 1 Nanggulan in the 2023/2024 Academic Year, with the correlation coefficient () obtained was 0.995 (0.995 > 0.329 at 5% significance level). There is a positive and significant relationship between Parents' Education Level and Student Achievement simultaneously with Interest in Entering College for Class XII Students of Mechanical Engineering Expertise Program at SMK N 1 Nanggulan in the 2023/2024 Academic Year, with the correlation coefficient () obtained was 0.976 and the value obtained was 676,42 (676,42 > at 5% significance level).
