Nilai-nilai etika dan estetika dalam prosesi upacarca perkawinan masyarakat Jawa

Abstract


This study is aimed to explain the Javanese wedding procession which containing important cultural content in the ethical and aesthetic aspect. This study applied the sociolinguistic approach, sociocultural approach, and came with the procession analysis (discourse analysis. The study materials or data used in this study is in the form of Javawedding procession organized by the Javanese in Yogyakarta area. The analysis showed a number of conclusions: (1) the wedding formed mental attitude and strong character, such as: discipline, independent, friendly, competent, and inspiring, (2) the availability of linguistic aesthetic elements used in the wedding procession speech found is includethe following: tembung saroja, tembung garba, yogyaswara, keratabasa, tembung entar, paribasan, bebasan, saloka, pepindhan, pralambang, purwakanthi, panambang bunyi ha-, seselan -in-, seselan -um-, tembung kawi, and  diction religiosity. While aesthetic values and social culture which found are the aesthetic value of the social relations, the aesthetic value of traternity, and aesthetics in Javanese cultural elements (home aesthetics, fashion aesthetics, food aesthetics). Those ethical and aesthetic values are in line with the dynamics of economic, social, and Javanese culture in context of Javanese wedding, apparently it also experienced dynamic and flexible changes and accommodating.
