INTERNALISASI KARAKTER PERCAYA DIRI DENGAN TEKNIK SCAFFOLDING
Abstract
Abstrak: Dalam pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter secara terpadu di dalam proses pembelajaran, para guru seringkali terjebak pada indoktrinasi dan bukan internalisasi. Tulisan ini memfokuskan diri pada pembahasan proses internalisasi salah satu nilai karakter, yaitu rasa percaya diri melalui teknik scaffolding. Rasa percaya diri adalah keyakinan kuat untuk dapat melakukan sesuatu. Percaya diri merupakan kombinasi antara sikap positif dan pemilikan keterampilan. Oleh karena itu, rasa percaya diri ini harus diinternalisasikan dengan teknik scaffolding atau penahapan. Siswa difasilitasi untuk mengalami, merasakan keberhasilan dalam melakukan sesuatu kemudian siswa diminta mengungkapkan, menceritakan, merefleksikan bagaimana siswa dapat melakukan keberhasilan itu. Melalui penahapan yang tepat, diharapkan setiap siswa dapat menguasai kompetensi yang kompleks secara mudah dan tahan lama sehingga mampu menumbuhkembangkan rasa percaya diri.

INTERNALIZATION OF SELF-CONFIDENCE CHARACTER BY SCAFFOLDING TECHNIQUE
Abstract: In the implementation of character education integrated in the teaching and learning process, teachers are often trapped in indoctrination, not internalization. This article focuses on the discussion of internalization process of one of the character values, that is, self-confidence, through a scaffolding technique. Self-confidence is a strong belief to be able to do something. It is a combination of a positive attitude and skills ownership. Therefore, it must be internalized using a scaffolding or staging technique. Students are facilitated to experience, feel the success in doing something, after which they are sked to express, tell, reflect how they can achieve the success. Through an appropriate scaffolding, every student is expected to be able to master the complex competence easily and longlastingly so that the process can nurture self-confidence.
